SOCIAL GROUPS
Our ongoing social groups are a supplement to individual therapy and integral to our mission to Help Kids Be Kids. Social groups allow children to practice language and social communication skills, make friends, and experience the joy of playing with others.
Highlights of our social groups:
Practice for the Real World
These groups are a stepping stone. They allow children to practice skills learned in individual therapy in a supported group environment. This gives them the confidence to take those skills into the real world.
Individualized Placement
Children are carefully matched. Before placing them in a group we evaluate their readiness for the group, developmental level, speed at which they process information, and personality.
Play-Based Activities
Children learn language and social communication through play. All group activities are designed to be fun and motivating.
In addition to our ongoing social groups, we offer camps during summer, winter and spring breaks from school. You can find more information about our camps here.
